You’ve seen l’OM play in your living room, at the Orange Vélodrôme, in the best bars in town, and now it’s possible to see l’OM play in a cinema!
On March 16, at the close of the 26th day of Ligue 1, the eagerly-awaited clash between PSG and OM will mark a turning point in the way major soccer matches are experienced in France. For the first time ever, the match will be broadcast live in IMAX quality in cinemas across France – an immersive experience not to be missed by any soccer fan!
An unrivalled visual and audio experience
The fruit of an unprecedented partnership between audiovisual giant IMAX and broadcaster DAZN, this retransmission will enable spectators to experience the Classico like never before. Six cinemas, equipped with giant screens and high-definition projectors, will host this exceptional match: five in Île-de-France and one in Bouches-du-Rhône, at Pathé de Plan de Campagne.
IMAX doesn’t just offer a giant screen. The technology also delivers exceptional sound quality, giving the impression of being at the heart of the stadium. For Marseille fans, it’s the perfect opportunity to see this decisive match from a totally new angle. Kick-off is scheduled for 8.45pm, but cinema doors will open at 7.45pm to allow spectators to enjoy the pre-match atmosphere.
In addition to the Pathé in Plan de Campagne, five other cinemas in the Paris region will be offering this exceptional broadcast. OM fans will therefore be able to follow this legendary match in ideal conditions, without having to travel to Paris (and fortunately! What a funny idea!).
The return of the Classico
The last time the two teams met, in October, PSG dominated OM 3-0 (but that was the last time). On March 16, the two teams will meet again for a decisive encounter. In the meantime, fans won’t want to miss this unique opportunity to experience the match in a whole new dimension.
So, are you ready to thrill in one of these IMAX theaters?
