Ladies, get ready for a unique experience! This Friday, March 7, 2025, the city of Marseille will be hosting a brand-new evening concept, specially designed for women, and above all, as the name suggests, for moms. The idea? To offer participants a moment of pure freedom, dance and fun, all in a safe and tranquil setting. And we guarantee it’s going to be epic!
The must-attend event for Marseilles moms
So, imagine: it’s a Friday evening, you’ve managed to have a night to yourself or with the girls, away from everyday worries and petty concerns, and you feel like dancing! The answer? ” Mommy’s going to dance! The first evening of this concept (and not the last) will be held on the Old Port, at the Chez Louis brasserie at 52 Quai du Lazaret from 7.30pm to 12.30am. And the icing on the cake, the evening falls on the eve of International Women’s Rights Day (no, it’s not a coincidence). A perfect nod to an evening dedicated to celebration… and freedom!
Ennnnnfffiiiiiin….. An evening of freedom and letting go
Alicia, mother of three and everyday superhero, came up with this brilliant idea after discovering this brilliant concept from Germany. Teaming up with Héloïse, she decided to launch it in France, creating an evening where only women (and especially moms!) get together for a moment of relaxation and celebration (and, between you and me, that’s just what they need to unwind).
Away from the daily hustle and bustle, the obligations and the mental load, “Maman va danser” is an event designed so that moms can finally take a breather. At these festive women’s get-togethers, we forget worries, fatigue and even heavy flirting (help!). It’s all about fun, caring, smiles and a 100% festive atmosphere!
A place to meet, relax and support each other
In a warm and welcoming atmosphere, you can meet up with friends, chat over a drink, and above all get your groove on on the dance floor, with strobe lights and a killer playlist. Sequin jackets, dresses, blouses or brightly-colored sweaters: anything goes, so that every participant feels good and ready to have fun without any judgment!
And the best part? It’s not just the music, the sequins or the sparkling outfits, it’s the feeling of solidarity and goodwill that emanates. Whatever your age (from twenties to sixties), you’re invited to party stress-free and in a safe place.
As Mathilde Petovari, the event’s organizer, puts it: “The aim is for moms to let go, leave the mental load at the door and let loose on the dance floor, while having an incredible time amongst women”.
So, are you ready to hit the dance floor, catch up with your girlfriends and dance like nobody’s watching? We look forward to seeing you on Friday, March 7, for an unforgettable evening!
