We spoke to you recently about the not-to-be-missed exhibitions in Marseille this year. Paradis Naturistes, which explores the links between climate, history, culture and naturism, brings together no fewer than 600 photographs, films, magazines, everyday objects, paintings, drawings, books, prints and sculptures. In addition to offering some rather original photographs, the MUCEM has decided to go a step further by proposing tours to be taken in the nude. We explain!
Paradis Naturistes, an original exhibition in Marseille
Since France is the world’s leading tourist destination for naturists, it was only natural for the Musée des civilisations de l’Europe et de la Méditerranée (MUCEM) to ask why and how.
“As a social museum based in Marseille, a Mediterranean city around which several important naturist sites have developed, it seemed natural that the MUCEM should seek to explore this singular and unifying phenomenon that is naturism, or rather naturisms, as they are plural,” explains the museum’s communication.
This is all the more true when you consider that certain creeks, including the Pierres Tombées, are now officially reserved for naturists!
The Mucem invites you to take this naked tour
Looking at photos of naturists is fun. But doing the exhibition while you’re completely naked is something else again! In fact, naturism“invites itself to the Mucem and can be visited in the simplest of garb until December 2024, in collaboration with the Phocéenne naturist association, PPNP and the PACA-Corsica region.“
Here are the prices, bearing in mind that the next nude visit will take place on October 11, 2024 at 7pm:
7.5€ per participant on presentation of license /
11€ for non-members / free for children under 18.
