The principle is straightforward and no-frills: a large table, a raclette machine running, and the opportunity to serve yourself. It’s the perfect place for a comforting break in the heart of the city.
The menu includes all-you-can-eat cheeses, as well as potatoes and salads sourced from local peasant or organic farms. And because cheese is not something to be taken lightly, the Marché pulls out all the stops: creamy raclettes matured by the Caves d’affinage de Savoie – housed in former Maginot Line tunnels offering a perfectly Savoyard humidity and ecosystem – as well as a delicious raw-milk Morbier from fromagerie Vagne.
In addition, small plates of fine charcuterie are available to share for €5.
Opening time is from 7.30pm-7.45pm, just in time for the Market to quietly close. But you can come earlier for a drink.
