Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience in Marseille
Yes, because this isn’t just a regular exhibition, it’s a 360-degreeexperience . Indeed, the latest state-of-the-art digital projection technology invites us to immerse ourselves in the artist’s work as if we were part of a painting, comfortably seated in deckchairs, or in free movement.
The show begins! Vincent Van Gogh‘s most iconic works line the walls and litter the floor, as we virtually walk through Starry Night and sunflower fields.
In all, over 200 of the doomed painter’smasterpieces are brought to life in strikingly realistic interactive tableaux by10 ultra-high-definition digitalprojectors . A second interactive room follows the chronology of the artist’s life. A fascinating experience!
For an even more immersive experience, we enter a life-size reconstruction of La Chambre à Arles in 3D, the perfect backdrop to immortalize the experience with a selfie. Bonus: it’s possible to touch some of the works.
What’s more, you can switch from actor to spectator as you take part in a drawing workshop to try and reproduce your painting in Van Gogh‘s style. But that’s not all! The icing on the cake is a virtual realityexperience based on 8 emblematic paintings.

Inès: Inspiring, I loved it… Such a great way to spend your Saturday morning!
