It’s all new! A new festival is coming to Lyon this summer, and it’s set to break new rap codes. Combining established and emerging artists, Hypnotize is set to be one of the most eagerly awaited festivals of the summer. A major event on the rap scene, it offers a veritable immersion in urban culture, with rap battles, breakdancing and food trucks. If the line-up was already sending out some heavy hitters: BOOBA, VALD, JOK’AIR, LAYLOW, LETO… It’s being expanded with new names as strong as KALASH, BU$HI, EDGE, L2B and other nuggets from behind the scenes. The box office is officially open and tickets are going like hotcakes…

Hypnotize Festival in Lyon: “It Was All a Dream
Featuring over 20 artists, some of whom have been making the rap world go round for generations, 2 iconic stages and a vibrant line-up, the Hypnotize festival aims to restore the current rap scene to its former glory.
The indestructible Booba, Laylow the rapper from Toulouse, the phenomenon VALD, Kalash, Leto… These heavyweight artists share the bill with emerging artists such as Jok’Air and Meryl. A real daydream for rap fans.
Says the festival’s creative producer: “It was all a dream… Everything starts from a dream, as Biggie says. Our ambition is to redefine the codes of today’s festivals by offering festival-goers a total immersion in rap culture, through a strong program and scenography, but also accompanied by numerous artistic and interactive experiences highlighting this culture throughout the event.”
An explosive program
In addition to the concerts, live performances will give spectators a true 360-degree experience, with rap and breakdance battles, graffiti… Audiences will be immersed in an urban world, and will be able to adopt its codes. Fashion, jewels, grillz, tatoos, street food trucks... Festival-goers will be spoilt for choice on the Hypnotize festival site!
Can’t make it to Lyon? A second edition of the festival will be held in Bordeaux on September 5 and 6 (the line-up is really heavy)!
